Hair trimmers
As soon as men get near to the age of 30 the odd strands of nasal hair often start protruding from the nose. Whilst this hair growth is totally natural, left unchecked it can without difficulty get out of hand.
The bad news is that as soon as nose hair begins to become conspicuous more nose hair will start to materialize as you get older.
Nasal hair performs an important function and therefore should not be removed completely.
Nose hair acts as a filter to stop dirt and germs from entering the nose. However if nasal hairs are starting to grow out of control a modest trim is usually all that is required.
Contrary to the myth the trimming of unwelcome nasal hair will not make them grow back thicker or faster. So feel free to trim any nose hair that has grown out of control.
The word "Trimming" is key to the grooming of nasal hairs. You should never pluck nose hairs either by hand or with tweezers. Not only is it distressing, but it can also cause infections.
The aim is not to entirely remove all nasal hair as some nose hair is required to protect your nasal passage and keep it clean.
Only those unsightly nose hairs protruding from the nose should be removed and this is best done with a suitable electric or battery nose hair trimmer. There are a many nasal hair trimmers on the market specially designed for the purpose of trimming nasal hair quickly, safely and painlessly.
There are two main types of nose hair trimmers. Both use a spinning blade to cut the nasal hair. The first type uses a blade which spins in just one direction and the other type uses a blade which persistently changes direction from left to right. Whilst both will do the equivalent job in removing nose hair, some believe that the second type is less uncomfortable.
Remember the aim is not to take away all nasal hairs, just trim the unattractive ones. Nasal hair trimming only takes a few seconds and should be performed as part of a regular grooming routine.
