Remove unwanted nasal hair
When men approach the age of 30 the odd strands of nasal hair often begin protruding from the nose. Whilst this hair growth is totally common, left unimpeded it can certainly get out of hand.

The bad news is that once nasal hair begins to become noticeable more nose hair will start to develop as you get older.

Nose hair performs an important function and therefore should not be removed completely. Nasal hair acts as a filter to put a stop to dirt and germs from entering the nose. However if nasal hairs are beginning to grow out of control a simple trim is usually all that is needed.

Contrary to the myth the trimming of surplus nose hair will not make them grow back thicker or faster. So feel free to trim any nasal hair that has grown out of control.

The word "Trimming" is key to the grooming of nose hairs. You should never pluck nasal hairs either by hand or with tweezers. Not only is it painful, but it can also cause infections.

The aim is not to completely remove all nose hair as some nose hair is required to protect your nasal passage and keep it clean.

Only those unsightly nasal hairs protruding from the nose should be removed and this is best done with a suitable electric or battery nose hair trimmer. There are a many nasal hair trimmers on the market specifically designed for the purpose of trimming nasal hair quickly, safely and painlessly.

There are two main types of nose hair trimmers. Both use a spinning blade to cut the nose hair. The first type uses a blade which spins in just one direction and the other type uses a blade which persistently changes direction from left to right. Whilst both will do the same job in removing nasal hair, some believe that the second type is less uncomfortable.

Remember the aim is not to do away with all nose hairs, just trim the unattractive ones. Nasal hair trimming only takes a few seconds and should be performed as part of a regular grooming routine.
