Trim unwanted nasal hair
As soon as men get near to the age of 30 the odd strands of nose hair often begin protruding from the nose. Whilst this hair growth is totally natural, left unrestrained it can simply get out of hand.

The bad news is that once nasal hair starts to become conspicuous more nose hair will start to come to light as you get older.

Nasal hair performs an important function and therefore should not be removed completely. Nasal hair acts as a filter to block dirt and germs from entering the nose. However if nasal hairs are starting to grow out of control a modest trim is usually all that is needed.

Contrary to the myth the trimming of surplus nose hair will not make them grow back thicker or faster. So feel free to trim any nose hair that has grown out of control.

The word "Trimming" is key to the grooming of nasal hairs. You should never pluck nose hairs either by hand or with tweezers. Not only is it uncomfortable, but it can also cause infections.

The aim is not to wholly remove all nasal hair as some nose hair is required to protect your nasal passage and keep it clean.

Only those unappealing nasal hairs protruding from the nose should be removed and this is best done with a suitable electric or battery nose hair trimmer. There are a many nasal hair trimmers on the market expressly designed for the purpose of trimming nasal hair quickly, safely and painlessly.

There are two main types of nose hair trimmers. Both use a spinning blade to cut the nasal hair. The first type uses a blade which spins in just one direction and the other type uses a blade which continually changes direction from left to right. Whilst both will do the identical job in removing nose hair, some believe that the second type is less distressing.

Remember the aim is not to eliminate all nasal hairs, just trim the unsightly ones. Nasal hair trimming only takes a few seconds and should be performed as part of a regular grooming routine.
